Jatropha
Jatropha is a non edible oil crop predominately used to produce bio-diesel. In addition to bio-diesel production, the by-product can be used to make a wide range of products including high quality paper, energy pellets, soap, cosmetics, toothpaste, embalming fluid, pipe joint cement, cough medicine and as a moistening agent in tobacco.
At Hash BioTech, we provide technology and services for the breeding, development, planting and harvesting of new varieties of commercial bio-fuel crops, focusing on alternative, sustainable feed stocks that are not subject to the same price pressures as food-grade crops.
We have an established plant science and planting program for Jatropha curcas. Jatropha produces non-edible oil feedstock for biodiesel and makes use of land which is not suitable for arable agriculture.
Hash BioTech produces a non-edible oil especially suitable for the manufacturing of biodiesel and therefore utilizes land, otherwise unsuitable for arable agriculture. This whole new technological process has been patented and they now offer this transfer of technology to any private, government institution, NGO’s, farmers or anyone interested on a global basis, under license, for the breeding, developing, planting and harvesting Jatropha curcas. We also offer a supply of planting material, the cultivation technology and specialized consultancy services.
